asked the Secretary of State for Air whether, in order to minimise disruption in home life involved by call up in the Class G Reserve and having regard to any future call up that may be necessary, he will at once take steps to discover whether members of the Class G Reserve are married or unmarried.

In selecting men for recall the determining factor must be whether or not it is in the interests of the Service and the country that a particular reservist should be given refresher training. We do not, and I am afraid we could not possibly, take into account whether a Class G reservist is married or single.
