asked the Minister of Food what was the exact cost to his Department which gave rise to the necessity for the recent increase in the prices of oils and fats to trade users.

It would not be in the public interest to give details of each individual increase in the Ministry's buying prices; but the average increase was that reflected in the increased selling price to trade users.
