Colonel J. R. H. Hutchison
asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the composition of the mission to Argentina; and what are its terms of reference.
Mr. Younger
The British Economic Mission to Argentina which left on 27th February is headed by my hon. Friend the Economic Secretary to the Treasury and includes representatives of the Treasury and Ministry of Food. A representative of the Bank of England is also attached as adviser to my hon. Friend. The object of the Mission is to reach agreement with the Argentine Government on outstanding problems relating to meat supplies and prices, financial matters, and Anglo-Argentine trade.
