asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he will make a statement on the ambush which took place on 9th February, 1951, in the Kuantan district of Pahang, in which one European police lieutenant was killed, another wounded and further wounds were inflicted on a European planter and two police constables.

The ambush occurred in the Jabor Valley Estate, when a party consisting of two police officers, two planters and 10 police constables were on their way to investigate the burning of an estate lorry.
