asked the Minister of Food whether consultation took place with the National Farmers' Union before the recent decision was taken to remove all restrictions on the sale of cream and to arrange for the importation of cream from abroad.

The National Farmers' Union expressed their views on this question last year, and these were taken into account when we decided to make cream freely available.
