asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he can now see his way to reduce the demands made by his Department for statistical information from industrial and commercial users of fuel.

Yes. It is still necessary to obtain information from the larger users, but from now on returns will no longer be collected from 28,000 of the smaller users. These account for about three-quarters of the number of establishments hitherto making returns but only a tenth of the total consumption.
