asked the Minister of Agriculture when he and the Parliamentary Secretary became aware of the discrepancies in the accounts of the way in which Crichel Down was originally acquired; and what action he and the Parliamentary Secretary took on becoming aware of it.

As regards the first part of the Question, I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to my hon. Friend the Member for Dorset, North (Mr. Crouch) on 8th July. As regards the last part, I will be dealing with the history of the case in some detail in the forthcoming debate.
