asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will make an order to ensure that all fertilisers are sold in sacks holding not more than 1½ cwt., and that the weights are printed on all fertiliser sacks or bags.

I have no power to make an order for either of these purposes. As regards the proposal that printing of the weight on fertiliser sacks or bags should be made compulsory, I understand that my right hon. Friend, the President of the Board of Trade, has this matter under consideration in connection with possible weights and measures legislation.
