asked the President of the Board of Trade when he expects to receive information from the European Economic Community about the treatment of films under the Treaty of Rome so as to be able to make an estimate of the effect upon the film industry of Britain joining the Common Market.

The Common Market countries are discussing the application to films of the Treaty of Rome, but I cannot say how soon they will reach a decision on this subject.
