asked the Minister of Aviation how many personal secretaries, shorthand typists and machine operators were employed in his Department in May, 1959, and May, 1961.

Late in 1959 and during 1960 certain functions were transferred from the Ministry of Supply to the War Office and from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation to the Ministry of Aviation. The figures quoted should therefore be read in conjunction with those for the War Office and the Ministry of Transport.
