asked the Postmaster-General, in view of the criticisms embodied in the Third Report of the Committee of Public Accounts of this Session of his system of buying cables, telephone apparatus and exchange equipment, what are his plans for future purchases; and to what extent he has considered the suggestion contained in paragraph 62 of terminating the present method of purchase.

I have these matters under consideration but am not yet ready to make any statement.
