asked the Minister of Works (1) if he will arrange for the National Gallery site, formerly Hamptons, Pall Mall East, to be used as a car-park, pending the building of the National Gallery extension;(2) if he will consider the possibility of drawing a rent from the National Gallery site, formerly Hamptons, Pall Mall East, by means of letting it as a car-park, pending the building of the National Gallery extension.

I am now considering the various offers for a short-term lease of the site which were received in response to my advertisement. Those most attractive financially are for its use as a car park.
