asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister for Welsh Affairs if, in view of current developments, he is satisfied that the information on which he based his estimate of the amount of land available for building in the Home Counties is up to date; and if he will make a statement.

Yes. The estimate I gave related to the Home Counties as a whole. There are many places where an abundance of land has been allocated for building purposes. In other places this is not so. I am considering what might be done about this both in the short and the long term and I am arranging for discussions with the planning authorities concerned.
