asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the approximate number of policemen employed each day in the Metropolitan Police area on motor car parking duties.

It is part of the normal work of all officers on beat and traffic patrol duty to enforce the law relating to obstruction and waiting in restricted streets.
