Mr. Channon
asked the Postmaster-General if, in view of the fact that there are six telephone areas in Great Britain and Northern Ireland with waiting lists of more than 2ยท5 per cent. of the total number of subscribers in the area, he will introduce a special scheme in those areas to reduce the waiting lists to at least that level.
Miss Pike
My right hon. Friend is already giving special attention to these areas, within the limits of our resources, and I assure my hon. Friend that he will continue to do so.
