asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will appoint a committee of inquiry into the present system of choosing jurors, with special reference to means of increasing the numbers of women jurors.

Any committee of inquiry into the method of choosing jurors would necessarily have to consider many other issues, as well as the possibility of increasing the number of women qualified to serve as jurors, and I have no statement to make at present.
