asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether, in view of the recent change in public opinion, and particularly the change of attitude amongst judges, he will now review the provisions of the Homicide Act, 1957, relating to capital punishment.

I shall certainly look into any evidence which the hon. Member submits to me, but it is only fair to say that I see no prospect of early legislation on this subject.
