asked the Secretary of State for Defence, in view of the proposal to close No. 7 Basic Flying Training School and to transfer other units to Church Fenton Royal Air Force Station in its place, what type of aircraft will henceforth use this station; what night flying will take place; what normal flying hours will be observed; and what weekend flying will take place.

The jet Provosts at present based at Church Fenton will be replaced progressively by Vampires and Chipmunks when No. 7 Basic Flying Training School starts to run down in June, 1966.Normal flying hours at the station will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On present plans, the Vampire will carry out a limited amount of night flying, and there will be weekend flying by Chipmunks of the Leeds University Air Squadron and No. 9 Air Experience Flight.
