asked the Secretary of State for Defence whether any increase in the rates of training bounties for the Territorial Army and Army Emergency Reserve, to which he referred in his statement on 29th July, 1965, has yet been decided.

Yes. All members of the Territorial Army and Army Emergency Reserve who complete the training requirement for the 12 months ending on 31st October, 1966, will be paid new rates of training bounty which will be, on average, some 25 per cent. higher than the existing rates. There will be a similar increase in the rate of parachute bounty. The efficiency bounty, payable to soldiers in the Territorial Army and Army Emergency Reserve, and the supplementary bounty for voluntary training, payable to soldiers in the Territorial Army, will in all cases be increased by one-third.
