I wish to make a statement. I have to inform the House that I have received an invitation to attend a ceremonial sitting of the Tynwald, in the Isle of Man, to mark the centenary of the democratically elected House of Keys. The House will know that, during several centuries of history of both this House and the House of Keys, there has existed a most cordial relationship.

I hope that it will be the wish of the House that I should accept the invitation, and I hope, therefore, that the House will grant me leave of absence for Tuesday, 5th July.
