asked the Minister of Aviation what opportunities were offered to British electronics manufacturers to tender for the contract for the Concord flight instrumentation system before this was awarded to Radiation Incorporated, of Florida, United States of America.

Twelve British manufacturers were invited to tender for the supply of the magnetic flight test recording system for the prototype and preproduction Concord aircraft. The contract was awarded to the Guided Weapons Division of the British Aircraft Corporation, and only a part of the work will be carried out in the U.S.A. under subcontract by Radiation Incorporated.
