asked the Postmaster-General whether Christmas cards, treated as second class mail, will receive the same expedition in delivery this year as in previous years.

Yes. As in previous years we shall not be able to maintain the normal advertised service during the Christmas rush, but we shall give priority to first class letters and will speed the Christmas cards as before.
