asked the Secretary of State for Employment why his Department's recent advertisement for an injection moulding tool setter as an instructor at a Government training centre, insisted that applicants should be British subjects.

Because this is in accordance with the Civil Service nationality rules given in paragraph 12 of the Civil Service Commission General Regulations, 1969.
