asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what basis of costing is employed by Her Majesty's Prisons to enable them to quote for hospital garments and textiles.
Mr. Carlisle
The general rule is to quote fair market prices; account is taken of the expenses of production in prison workshops, including the abnormal overheads.
