Sir D. Walker-Smith
asked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he is yet in a position to indicate the common or comparative criteria which will govern the consideration of remuneration in their respective fields by the three review bodies which have been established.
Mr. R. Carr
I do not intend to impose criteria or dictate their methods of working the review bodies should follow, but the proposals for interlocking membership and a common secretariat will have the advantage of producing a uniformity of approach in reviewing the salaries of the various groups.
