asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will institute an inquiry into the effectiveness and the use of the present powers of factory inspectors to enforce safety regulations in the light of the recent court action against the Central Asbestos Company which resulted in that company having to pay seven employees suffering from asbestosis £86,000 damages, and the revelation that six others had died from that disease.

I am sure that the Robens Committee will have this in mind but I will make certain that this is so.
