asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, without incurring disproportionate costs, he will publish as much information as may be readily available to him of the numbers of Peers of the Realm who hold paid employment with the Government or any organisation where Exchequer money is expended; whether such appointments are on a full- or part-time basis; and what salaries and/or expenses are paid or allowed in each instance.

The hon. Member may like to refer to the annual White Paper which lists the appointments of members of Public Boards of a commercial character. A number of these appointments are held by Peers.
