asked the Secretary of Trade and Industry what was the total tonnage of imported butter in each of the years 1965 to 1969; from which countries the imports came; and in what annual tonnage from each source.

Information up to 1968 is published in Volume II of the Annual Statement of Trade of the United Kingdom. For 1969 the information appears in Table I of the Overseas Trade Accounts for December, 1969. Imports varied from 413,000 tons in 1969 to 453,000 tons in 1967, and the main sources of supply were New Zealand, Denmark and Australia.
