asked the Minister of Posts and Telecomunications how much revenue from television licences has been lost when certain concessions are given where a hostel or flats with a warden in attendance allow certain pensioners to pay only 1s. for their television licence.

The revenue from all Old Persons' Homes licences is £6,995. If all the licensees were liable to pay £6 monochrome TV licence fees, additional revenue of £832,441 would accrue.
