asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the Government accepts Recommendation No. 607 on preventive medicine and the institution of a European health card which was adopted by the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe on 21st September 1970; and whether they will take the measures proposed in paragraph 10 I (a), (b) and (c).

This recommendation is still under consideration by the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers' Deputies and the question of acceptance by Her Majesty's Government does not therefore yet arise.
