asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will allow a vehicle to be provided, suitable for the use of Mr. Paul Bates, the hon. Member for Horsham's constituent.

No. Mr. Bates receives an annual allowance from my Department to help run his own vehicle but he would not be able to use one of the vehicles that we supply.
