asked the Secretary of State for Wales what was the number of houses built in the private sector in Wales and East Flintshire for the years 1960, 1963, 1965 and 1967; what is his estimate for 1970; what are the corresponding figures for local authority building programmes of the same year; and if he will make a statement.
Below are the figures sought for earlier years, together with the numbers of houses under construction at the end of October 1970.I cannot say how many of the houses now under construction will be completed by the end of the year.1. The number of houses completed is as follows:
