Q11.

asked the Prime Minister if he is satisfied with the efficiency of the means of co-ordination already in existence between Departments concerning the problems of the disabled; and if he will make a statement.

I have nothing to add to the answer my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary gave on my behalf to my hon. Friend the Member for Banbury (Mr. Marten) and to the hon. Member for Willesden, West (Mr. Pavitt), on 12th November.—[Vol. 806, c. 593.]

Q19.

asked the Prime Minister if he will secure the unification of aid granted to disabled persons needing to use Possum equipment electronic aids where the Department of Health and Social Security provides PSU 1, the Department of Employment may give the work control systems, and the Department of Education and Science may give aid through the local authority, all to the same severely physically disabled person.

What matters is that there should be very close coordination between the Departments concerned, and that already exists.
