asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many acres of derelict land were cleared in Carmarthenshire by October, 1964; what was the corresponding figure for June, 1970; and what is planned for the next two years.

Reliable information is held only in relation to local authority derelict land reclamation schemes grant aided since 1960. Up to 1964 one such scheme covering 2·8 acres was approved. Between 1965 and 1970 ten schemes covering 285 acres were approved. Nine schemes covering about 100 acres are currently being considered by the Derelict Land Unit.

Reliable information is held only in relation to local authority derelict land reclamation schemes grant-aided since 1960. Up to 1964 three such schemes covering 7·7 acres were approved for grant in Wales. Between 1965 and June, 1970, 75 schemes covering 1,900 acres were approved.
