asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will appoint an inter-Departmental committee of civil servants to report to him on progress of decimalisation, with a view to keeping a check on prices as they affect individual Departments.

All Departments responsible for determining Government prices, charges, etc., are fully aware of the policy to be followed in converting prices to decimal currency amounts.
