Mr. Wilkinson
asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether, in view of the shortage of medical practitioners predicted in the Report of the Royal Commission on Medical Education, Command Paper No. 3569, she will encourage the foundation of a Medical School in the University of Bradford.
Mrs. Thatcher
I announced on 18th November that there will be a new medical school at Leicester. The University of Bradford was not among those recommended for future medical schools by the Royal Commission on Medical Education.
