asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the average rate fund subsidy for all Scottish local authorities and all local authorities with unemployment over 7 per cent., respectively, expressed in percentage terms of total housing revenue income.

In 1968–69, the last year for which the figure is available, 37 per cent. of the housing expenditure of Scottish local authorities was met by rate fund contributions. Unemployment percentages are not available for individual local authorities.
