asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will take steps to increase consultation between the Air Transport Licensing Board and the Air Registration Board in order to facilitate and regularise exchange of information.

There is little practical scope, under present arrangements for increasing the exchange of information between these two bodies. The Government look to the establishment of the Civil Aviation Authority to provide a mechanism for much greater exchange of information across the whole range of civil aviation.
