asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is his latest estimate of the likely number of new jobs to be created in Wales in consequence of Government initiatives by the end of 1972.

The wide range of fiscal and economic measures, both national and regional, introduced in the past 12 months is designed to create substantial new job opportunities. It is not possible to equate these measures to numbers of new jobs more precisely.
