asked the Attorney-General what progress had been made in the Law Commission's review concerning the practice of local authorities in disclaiming liability for negligence when answering planning inquiries by house purchasers and others; and when he expects the conclusion and publication of the review.

A draft of the Law Commission's report on local land charges and related matters will probably be sent to the Law Society and the local authority associations, as a means of consultation, during January, 1972. The commission hopes to submit its final report to my noble Friend the Lord Chancellor, with draft clauses, by the end of the year.
