asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what discussions have taken place between his Department and London Transport, regarding the further extension of the underground rail system; and if he will make a statement.

I discuss with the London Transport Executive those proposals that have been approved by G.L.C. which is now responsible for London Transport. My main rĂ´le is to decide whether to pay infrastructure grant on agreed proposals.
