With your permission, Mr. Speaker, and that of the House, I wish to present a Petition, in conjunction with my hon. Friend the Member for Blackpool, South (Mr. Blaker), on behalf of our constituents.

The Petition is for the return of capital punishment for premeditated murder.

The Petition concludes in the customary way, with the words
And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.

The wrapping of the Petition explains that it contains 80,000 signatures. The hon. Gentleman can add my name to it and make it 80,001.

To lie upon the Table.
