asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what consideration his Department has given to the chairmobile for severely disabled people designed by Lord Snowdon; what action he is taking; and if he will make a statement.

This interesting innovation has been demonstrated to officers of the Department; and both the design details and intended application have been carefully considered. On present advice, I do not see a National Health Service rĂ´le for it.
