asked the Secretary of State for Wales what effect the announced cuts in public expenditure will have on the proposed major expansion of East Glamorgan Hospital.

The major expansion plans for this hospital are still at an early stage and it is too soon to forecast how far they will be affected by the cuts in public expenditure.The two building schemes costing over £1 million which have just started on the site will not be affected.
