asked the Minister for Energy whether he will take steps to safeguard all the infrastructure requirements necessary for the North Sea oil industry from the effects of three-day working.

Suppliers who cannot meet essential requirements for the North Sea oil industry in the three days' use of electricity now permitted should submit a case for consideration to the Department of Energy through the appropriate regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry.
