asked the Minister for Energy how many accidents have been recorded in the Scottish sector of the North Sea in each year since oil exploration started in respect of the oil exploration industry ; and how many of these have been fatal.

Deaths and injuries, excluding minor injuries, arising from accidents in that part of the United Kingdom designated area of the North Sea lying to the east of Scotland were as follows:
