asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to receive the report of the inspector following the public inquiry into the Central Lancashire New Town plans; and when he expects to decide thereupon.

This inquiry began in November and is still in progress. It therefore seems likely that the inspector may require considerable time to complete his report, and it is too soon to forecast the date of my right hon. Friend's eventual decision.
