asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the total sum paid in rate support grant to local authorities in England and Wales for the year 1974–75; and how much of that sum was paid to each district council in the county of North Yorkshire.

The total currently being paid for the year 1974–75 is £4,153 million. The amounts being paid to district councils in North Yorkshire are:
