asked the Minister of Overseas Development how many members of the staff of the Crown Agents have been suspended from duty, pending investigations into the matters dealt with in her statement of 18th December; and what further inquiry she proposes to hold.

As I said in reply to a supplementary question by my hon. Friend on 20th January—[Vol. 884, c. 1019]—one member of the Crown Agents' staff has been suspended from duty. This followed matters which arose independently of the work on the report on how the need for Government support arose which was referred to in my right hon.
