asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what percentage of new house construction was being provided through housing associations in each of the following years: 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974, respectively.

Housing associations were responsible for the following percentages of the dwellings completed in Great Britain:
| 1970 | 2·4 per cent. |
| 1971 | 3·0 per cent. |
| 1972 | 2·4 per cent. |
| 1973 | 3·0 per cent. |
| 1974 to 31st October* | 3·6 per cent. |
| *30th September in Scotland. | |
